We all want to make the most of ourselves, whether it’s getting our hair done, treating ourselves to a massage or buying nice clothes, we all want to look and feel great. But what is the point in all the effort if you neglect your skin? Here are some great and easy tips to help keep your skin young, fresh and radiant and all under a tight budget!!!
1. GET YOUR ZZZ IN
We are so busy now a days with work, college, kids and assignments that we usually cut down on the amount of eye shut. This will have a negative effect on our body’s overtime and our skin won’t get the necessary time to renew itself. Sleep isn’t called beauty sleep for a reason; it is one of the only Free things we can do to keep it looking young, fresh and renewed. 2. Stay Protected!!
Ok I get it, we aren’t exactly living in the Tropical climate but we still need to add this gem into our skin regime. Basically there is UVA and UVB protection available in our foundations, moisturisers and lip-balms. UVA protects against Ageing and UVB protects against Burning, it isn’t the UVB we should be placing on our skin it’s the UVA because even when it’s raining,

3. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
We know you’ve heard this one many times aswell, but water acts as a great detox, helping to flush out the impurities in your system the right way! 4. TAKE YOUR MAKEUP OFF EVERY NIGHT
We are all guilty of this, we exhaust ourselves all day and the last thing we feel like doing it removing that lovely face of makeup. 5. CHANGE YOUR PILLOWCASES REGULARLY

Try and change your pillowcase every few days to really help keep your skin looking at it’s freshest.
6. USE A SERUM

8. SANITISE EVERYTHING!!
Remember anything that comes into contact with your face needs to be keep clean, the little things we forget about, that extra day between washing our hair, the collar of our coats and least us not forget our make up brushes!
9. SANITISE YOUR HANDS
While we are on the subject of how easy it is to spread germs, always remember to wash your hands throughout the day and keep them away from your face. Every time you touch your face you are putting sebum that has come out of your fingers and touched a thousand other things straight into those pores. Breakouts here we come!
10. FEED YOUR SKIN GOODNESS
Do not be afraid of these amazing fats they most certainly will not pile the weight on, in fact you could even lose weight! Munching on nuts, avocado, salmon and drizzles of olive oil will not only help your overall health, but also the omega 3 and 6 will plump out your fine lines and keep wrinkles at bay. The skin will be boosting with a glow and it will keep it moist which combats dry skin.
11. TAKE OUT THE RUBBISH
Food high in fats and sugar not only make our bodies sluggish they also make our skin feel sluggish. You might also find that specific foods are causing your skin to break out. Keep a food diary and watch what happens to your skin after certain foods, then cut them out of your diet and see if there is a difference.
12. DE-STRESS YOURSELF
Not only should you make sure you have time for you to unwind, like doing meditation but also look for products that contain calming ingredients that will help to calm and distress the skin such as lavender and chamomile.
13. GET OUT IN THE FRESH AIR

15. TAKE A MAKE-UP HOLIDAY
Give you skin a chance to really breathe in that lovely fresh air – leave the make-up off for a few days. Do you really need it on at the weekend? No make-up to put on more time for you to enjoy the things you want to.
16. START USING RETINOL

17. EXFOLIATE AWAY DULL DEAD SKIN

18. STAY OUT OF HOT WATER
I know we all love a nice steamy shower; it feels good on the body and heats us right up. But hot water is not good for your delicate skin especially on the face. It causes redness, irritation, dries it out completely and actually in time causes premature ageing. If you can, lower that shower today and love the skin you’re in
19. EXFOLIATE… WITHOUT SCRUBBING
It’s all there in the title… we all love exfoliating and the results but what I have to stop you from doing is scrubbing until your red, even the most gentle movements on your skin will lift the dead skin cells. Increase your skin’s turnover and smooth its surface with an AHA exfoliator (alpha-hydroxyl acids like glycolic or lactic). Make sure to check the label to see how much AHA it contains and pick one between 4% and 8%. Expect some initial tingling but it should subside as your skin gets used to it.
20. MOISTURISERS SHOULD LAST
