What really is Micro Needling?

Ever wondered what the new obsession is with Micro needling?

Skin needling, also known as microneedling therapy or collagen induction therapy is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves in the use of a stainless steel device made of fine needles. Needles do you say? Yes but they are tiny and make microscopic channels in the dermis, triggering the body’s healing response to kick-start production of new collagen and elastin, plumping up the skin. It stimulates blood circulation and collagen production by over 1000%. Can you believe that? But what is collagen? Collagen is a protein that gives our skin its structure, working like a netting to hold skin cells together. The new collagen will last for several years, which is why micro needling treatment is considered a very long lasting treatment!

Here with Juliette Armand we use a Mandelic peel before our microneedling, not only is this peel super gentle, it is resurfacing the skin and preparing the skin for complete absorption of the vials.

What are vials?

Vials are concentrated serums that we apply to the skin before micro needling, up to 80% of a product can penetrate skin after microneedling compared to a mere 7% with normal application on intact skin.

We have different vials

From hydrating 3.5% Hyaluronic acid, glowing 20% Vitamin C, wrinkle shrinking Matrixyl 3000 and muscle relaxing Leuphasyl. Micro needling treats skin conditions such as acne scars, deep wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, pitting skin, blemishes, open pores, UV damage, stretch mark and so on. We recommend a course of three or six depending on your skins needs.

Here are some before and after photos, that you could never achieve with products alone.

This is a course of 3 treatments done 6 weeks apart using our Silicum vials and rollers on the tummy area.
